International Summer Seminar 2004
“New Europe - Human Rights Issue in the New
Neighbouring Countries
of the EU”
8-16 August
The
first International Seminar organized by JEF Moldova, but definitely not
the last,
took
place in Chisinau on 8-16th of August. It was a one week
seminar (6 working days and 1 day for a trip) in which participated more
than 40 young people from almost all European countries. Courses were
held with experts that spoke about the issue of Human Rights in the
neighbouring countries of the EU and especially in Moldova. Some of the
courses were: “Respect of Human Rights in the 21st Century-a
reality or a mere trademark?”, “Freedom of expression. Restrictions
confronted by media”, “Access to justice – important aspect of human
rights protection”, “Corruption in the EU neighbouring countries”, “The
Constitution and the future of New Europe15+10”…
