The Internet Access And Training Program (IATP) is a program of the Bureau of Educational & Cultural Affairs (ECA), US Department of State, funded under the Freedom Support Act (FSA). IATP is administered by the International Research & Exchanges Board (IREX).

American Studies

History

  • American Colonial Gazette: life before the colonies, the environmental impact of colonization, racism in early America, links to other colonial sites on the Web.
  • American Memory: collections of historical manuscripts, photos, maps, sound recordings and motion pictures.
  • Archiving Early America: the Declaration of Independence, constitution, bill of rights, maps, the lives of early Americans, and milestone events.
  • Center for American History: library, archive, and museum that facilitates research and sponsors programs about the historical development of the United States.
  • Collaborative Study in American History: designed to allow students to interact with teachers and other students in a collaborative effort to understand the various aspects of American history.
  • Declaration of Independence: the Declaration of Independence of the thirteen colonies presented by the Indiana University School of Law.
  • History Buff: includes a searchable library with the categories of Civil War, Baseball, Engravings, Journalism Hoaxes, and more.


Literature

  • Writing Black: literature and history written by and about African Americans.
