About project

The idea of reflecting the activity of national handcraft of the north area of the Republic of Moldova in the Internet was contemplated in 1999.
The implementation of this idea became possible after winning the grant offered by IATP Moldova, that is financed by Bureau for Culture and Press Department of USA and administered by IREX.
The official opening of the project took place in May 22.201 in Beltsy city. At the official opening participated members of NGO "Armonie", collaborators of the club "National handcraft masters", specialists of County Center of preservation and cultivation of National Art, the manager staff of " Union of National Trade handcrafts of Moldova", representatives of Beltsy IREX affiliate and of mass media.
Fifty two handcraft traders presented their art works within the frame exhibition, professionally organized on this occasion. The masters' interviews showed a high
interest in promotion of art handcraft of Moldova.

About the situation of craft activity in the Republic of Moldova and perspective Development, about tradition preserving of national creators mentioned in his Speech Mr. Ion Balteanu the President of Union of National Trade handcrafts of Moldova",
He pointed out the perspective of effective popularization of craft activity trough Internet.

About the specific activity of national creators from of north area mentioned in his speech Mr. Dumitru Muruzuc, the head of "National craft" club of Beltsy mun.

Project description and modality of its' implementation was presented by Ms. Maria Sicora, the President of NGO "Armonie" from village Reutsel.

The manifestation dedicated to to official opening ended in a traditional meeting of "National craft"

Within the frame of the project implementation were visited over 50 craftsmen out of 28 settlements from north and center area of Moldova.


Since June till October 2002 this site was updated with 343 photos and 25 new craftsmen. We have received many letters from the different countries. Many craftsmen even have received the orders.

For operative answer to the acting letters, NGO "Armonie", has entered for Vasile Sicora a new post - Responsible for public relations.
