We are

APLE   -     Asociatia Profesorilor de Limba Engleza
ELTA   -   English Language Teachers  Association is a non-profit non-governmental organization for teachers of English from Moldova.
It was founded in 1998 by a group of dedicated English Language Teachers, who aimed at helping the English Language Teachers from Moldova improve and enrich their skills in teaching English.
APLE provides a forum for colleagues to meet and share ideas and techniques as well as research and discuss professional issues. APLE keeps its members abreast of current concerns with the aim of improving the quality and effectiveness of language teaching at the national level in Moldova.

The over 100 members at present enrolled throughout Moldova are mainly teachers of English ranging from primary school up to university. Since its foundation APLE has relied on the active support of the Public Affairs Section of the Embassy of the United States of America in Moldova and collaborates professionally with the English Language Assistant of the British Embassy in Chisinau.

APLE depends totally on volunteers in order to carry out the work involved in running the organisation . Our goal is to continue to shape the nature and the course of language teaching in Moldova through our dedication to the professional needs and interests of English language teachers.

Anybody who is involved in English teaching in Moldova can join APLE but not only join but also get actively involved in planning its activity and contributing with whatever he/she wants to share with colleagues.

We are looking forward to your contributions, as well as suggestions and comments. See contact information.
